If you've had the opportunity to meet Fred at our tasting bar, you will agree that he is passionate about what he does. Having grown up in the Niagara Fruit Belt, Fred Archibald - wine maker & apple grower - has a keen sense for what fruit wines should taste like. "They need to taste like the fruit they were made with". With this is mind, Fred has created a list of fruit wines ranging from very dry table wines to dessert "ice types". One of our newest wines is "Black". It's receiving rave review from those who enjoy dry reds. The delightfully fresh, fruit blend of Black Cherries & Black Currants matches well with beef & cheeses. However, turkey has proven to be a wonderful match as well.
What's Fred experimenting with now? Honey Crisp Wine. This apple has been a great hit as a "sweet yet tangy" crisp, juicy apple. Fred is really excited about bottling some of those characteristics into a bottle of wine. In the meantime, join us for Daily Wine Tasting!
